Sutter Health Charge Nurse, Operating Room in Auburn, California

Position Overview:

Responsible for the routine functioning of the unit on his/her assigned department. Performs as Registered Nurse responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge in the perioperative setting. Assists with the achievement of patient outcomes with the mission of the surgery center.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification/Licensure:

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing Required

RN - Current license to practice in the State of California Required

BLS, ACLS & PALS Required

Experience:

• Significant experience working in a single-specialty (GI) or multi-specialty OR/GI and/or PACU, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center. This level of experience is typically achieved in approximately three years.

• Must have successful experience as an OR/GI and/or PACU Charge Nurse, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center. This level of competence is typically obtained in approximately two years. In single specialty centers, competence could be obtained in one to two years.

• Materials management experience is preferred, including application of purchasing processes to order the supplies and equipment required for surgeries being performed at the Center.
