Full-time Community Health-Nurse Manager - Working with a community healthcare practice (FQHC), providing comprehensive and compassionate care to underserved communities.You will lead the nursing department in providing exceptional integrated primary care services. We are in search of nursing leadership to help steward change as our practice continues to grow. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for supervising the training and supervision of a passionate team of nurse managers and staff nurses. He or she will work side by side with medical leadership and administrative leadership to re-define the future of our nursing department by updating our staffing structure and increasing our coordination of care across departments. Enhancing workflows for patient care coordination, enrich nurse education visits, improve the departmental budget, and more.The Nurse Manager will supervise and mentor on-site Nurses and Medical Assistants, helping them address clinical, operations, and personnel matters. Work with the Director of Nursing and administrative team to coordinate communication and coordination between clinical and non-clinical departments.Qualifications:Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing; Master’s or Advanced Practice Degree preferred.Licensed in New York State as a Registered Nurse.3+ years of experience in nursing with recent clinical experience in an outpatient medical setting. Experience managing and supervising staff.Understanding of ambulatory family practice health care program administration and clinical operations.Excellent communication skills, particularly with staff and patients from diverse cultures whose primary language is not English.Experience with Patient-Centered Medical Home model and concepts preferred. Knowledge of and experience with EMR and Microsoft Office systems required.
