Sutter Health Assistant Nurse Manager, Med/Surgical Units in Burlingame, California

Position Overview:

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for Medical-Surgical Units is accountable for the delivery of high quality nursing care; the clinical management of their assigned shift and unit in the Medical-Surgical Units. THe ANM is responsible for the day to day management of the unit/shift, interviewing and hiring of new employees as well as employee development, evaluations and counseling.


Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or other related health care field. Demonstrated current clinical competency in the Critical Care Region with a minimum of three years of charge nurse experience required. Supervisory/management experience preferred.

Current ACLS and BLS. Demonstrated excellence in the areas of leadership, interpersonal relationships, communication skills and positive customer service behaviors. Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
