Sutter Health Staff Nurse, Cath Lab in Burlingame, California

Position Overview:

Demonstrates competency in performing scrub/assistant, circulator, and monitor/ recording tasks in the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Laboratories during Diagnostic and Therapeutic procedures; provides Technical and/or Nursing patient care helping to assure patient safety, well being, and positive outcomes; completes required tasks in a timely manner according to physician orders and department and organization policies and procedures; On-Call/Standby required; reports to the Supervisor of the Cardiac Catheterization laboratories. Helps to assure that all established department and organization policies and procedures are appropriately followed in the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Laboratories; reports problem areas and recommends policy and procedure changes, as appropriate, to the Supervisor and/or Director. Provides technical and nursing leadership in the performance of tasks specific to the programs and practices of the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Laboratories.

Qualifications:

Required

Academic and/or formal clinical training in a recognized Cardiac Catheterization and/or Electrophysiology program.

California RN license

BLS and ACLS certification.

Preferred

One or more years of related technical and/or nursing experience in a high volume Cardiac Catheterization and/or Electrophysiology.
