46 bed medical surgical unit

CO RN license or eNLC privileges
BLS through the American HeartAssociation or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuerwith card in-hand before start date. BLS preferred cardmust be good through sixty days of hire. All life supportcertification cards must be issued by either the American HeartAssociation or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.(American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hireand all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Associationsanctioned course.)
Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plansbased on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize availableresources.
Monitors, records, andcommunicates patient condition as appropriate. Collaborates as neededacross disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer,discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs ofpatient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate toage, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Effectively delegates patientcare to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
Within scope of job, requires criticalthinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimalsupervision. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and takeappropriate action. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protectiveequipment as required.

This position's payrate is $55.00/hour + travel package/stipend.
