We are currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic FULL -TIME Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner for an Urgent Care position at our New St James Urgent Care in Hornell NY.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year’s practical experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine must have experience with all age groups and strong procedural skills to include suturing.
The hours for this facility are 10a-8p daily. The work schedule will require 10-hour shifts, rotating weekends, and occasional holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide exemplary customer service to patients, visitors, and coworkers
Provide convenient, friendly patient care to all who come through our door seeking health-related services.
Provide leadership, direction, and assistance during emergencies while maintaining a comforting and reassuring effect for patients.
Performs medical procedures including, but not limited to: laceration repairs, nail removal, splinting, and abscess incision and drainage.
Performs medical assessment, treatment, and management of medical complaints.
Provides guidance to other medical staff (e.g. physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and medical assistants) to ensure quality professional services and patient satisfaction.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Graduate from an accredited PA program, or Graduate from an accredited college or university nursing program and possess current licensure and/or certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner with training in family practice, ED, and/or Urgent Care.
Must possess current BLS certification
Minimum 1 year of experience in acute/urgent care, family practice, or emergency department setting is required
