The Director of Nursing position is located at Shadeland Station in Indianapolis, IN.
This position is responsible for overseeing activities within Network Nursing related to professional nursing practice, evidence based practice/research, model of care and nursing outcomes. The Director will take a leadership role in overseeing the Clinical Ladder and nursing professional development programs, as well as supporting the application of evidence based practice and the adherence to nursing’s model of care. The Director will be pivotal in supporting and promoting nursing research within the network.
5+ years: Demonstrated expertise in the practice of nursing validated by five years of current clinical practice and two years in the area of specialty practice. Certification required in clinical specialty (within 3 years of hire).
Master's Degree : Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited school of nursing or in lieu of accredited schools listed above, three years of related professional nursing experience.
Master’s Degree Required. If entering role without Master's Degree, Bachelor's required and Master's Degree required within 5 years of assuming role.
Either Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing Required.
Doctorate Degree (Preferred)
Required Certifications/Licensures: (Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC))
Demonstrates an understanding of the nursing scope of practice, laws, and regulations that govern nursing practice in the State of Indiana as well as standards of practice and care established by national organizations
Demonstrates the ability to apply improvement philosophy, principles and technology.
Ethical decision making in clinical, educational and business/financial issues
Leadership in a highly matrixed interdisciplinary environment
Professional standards evaluation and monitoring
