Responsibilities

This position is responsible for coordinating and performing the Employee Health functions, including employee health screening, employee health education, workplace health and safety, and assisting with the Workers’ Compensation program under the direction of the Director-Quality Services. In accordance with the mission and philosophy of CHI St. Vincent Health, the Employee Health Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment, planning, and evaluation of workplace health services for employees, volunteers, students and contractors.

Qualifications

Current Arkansas RN/LPN Licensure

Minimum two years’ experience in Employee health or occupational health nursing experience preferred, preferably in a hospital Employee Health setting.

Must demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal effectively with multi disciplinary team members, employees, significant others, and physicians. Must possess effective decision making, assessment and critical thinking skills. Must be able to set priorities and effectively delegate/coordinate multi disciplinary care based on the needs of the employees and staffing.
