Coordinates and ensures the effectiveness of multi-faceted department(s) or service area(s), which includes setting priorities, developing policies and procedures; overseeing and guiding process or program design, improvement implementation and maintenance; financial and human resource management; strategic planning; and quality assessment and improvement. Continually evaluates progress toward objectives and ensures that day-to-day operations are efficient and effective.

Comprehends, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health mission, vision, and values in leadership behaviors, practices, and decisions. Supports and endorses senior leadership goals, objectives, strategies, and decisions. Demonstrates that providing excellent Perioperative services for patients, visitors, and colleagues at community hospitals across the Region is the focal point of decision-making.

Leads strategic Perioperative planning for the Region's community hospitals in collaboration with Loyola Medicine CNO, to meet customer need and organizational goals. Works with senior leadership to assess Perioperative processes, opportunities, and challenges. Develops Perioperative plans to prepare the Region's community hospitals for future Perioperative needs and implement strategies to successfully meet those needs. Develops creative solutions for intervention and partners with operational leadership to implement within the Region's community hospitals. Adapts goals and plans responding to the community hospital environment and successfully meets challenging but achievable goals. Facilitates the integration of Perioperative services within the Region' community hospitals. Develops strategic and operational plans involving appropriate administrative and Perioperative resources to address standardization and regionalization of personnel, programs, facilities, equipment, technology and interdepartmental relationships and interfaces.

Directs the development of policies, procedures and staffing plans essential to the day-to-day operation of multiple departments and locations across the Region's community hospitals. Assures the effective and efficient daily operations and long-term effectiveness of all Perioperative community hospital sites. Implementation and ongoing revision of the Professional Practice Model. Conducts annual reviews and revisions to meet current trends and organizational needs. Oversees and maintains accountability for compliance with all regulatory standards including The Joint Commission, Illinois Department of Public Health, Illinois licensing requirements, and organizational quality improvement programs for Perioperative services within the Region. Provides management oversight of the Region's community hospital Perioperative programs and ensures program objectives are met. Provides consultative, operational, and technical support to Regional community hospital managers and Regional office in support of Perioperative services. Designs and implements the Perioperative processes and tools for the Region's community hospitals, in alignment with Trinity Health.

Maintains an organizational structure that facilitates safe, effective, patient-centered care/service that delivers a common care/service experience for all patients/customers. Plans and coordinates personnel and Perioperative service activities to assure safety, quality, satisfaction, efficiency, and consistency across the Region's community hospitals. Supports the Magnet designation. Interviews, hires, trains, evaluates, counsels, and supervises managerial staff within Region's community hospitals. Oversees and supports site leaders in hiring, transferring, romoting, terminating, assigning and rewarding colleagues. Provides training and consultation to Perioperative colleagues to deliver consistent Perioperative services to internal/external customers within the Region's community hospitals. Participates in discipline/grievance process as needed. Provides a work environment that fosters positive energy, creativity, and teamwork among colleagues across all functional areas within Region.

Provides effective communication to Loyola Medicine regional office, regional community hospital leadership and colleagues to establish an effective understanding of organizational mission and strategic goals necessary to achieve them. Collaborates with Regional leadership to develop and implement Perioperative metrics to include monthly dashboard and detailed metrics to measure the effectiveness of strategies and tactics. Provides input to local health ministry and Regional leadership in the development of system goals and objectives. Assesses Perioperative performance and satisfaction to measure, and improve services throughout the Region's community hospitals.

Meets regularly with senior Regional leadership, Trinity Health representatives, other departments, and direct reports to facilitate communication, goal setting and decision making within the Region's community hospitals. Represents Trinity Health to the public, healthcare communities, regulatory/government agencies, and media in a manner consistent with the values and
