Work environment: Neurosciences (Neurosurgery & Stroke)
Work hours: Full Time, 40 Hours - 4, 10-hour days, Monday–Friday and rotating weekends.
Salary range: $51.49- $75.68 per hour (based on relevant experience)

Texas Health Plano is the recipient of the Disease Specific Care Certifications from the Joint Commission in Primary Heart Attack and Joint Replacement – Hip & Knee. Bachelor’s Degree Graduate of an accredited nursing program required AND
Master’s Degree Graduate of Nurse Practitioner program required
Other – CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
2 years of experience as Nurse Practitioner preferred
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification preferred
1 year experience in Neuro or ICU preferred
Licenses and Certifications
RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required AND
APRN – Advance Practice Registered Nurse upon hire required AND
NP – Nurse Practitioner upon hire required
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 30 days preferred And
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required
Utilizes principles and skills in communication and interviewing techniques in obtaining a comprehensive health history to formulate a plan of care and make decisions for appropriate therapeutic
Uses principles and skills in advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings
Synthesizes knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomics to access, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients
Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes in order to promote continuity of care
Initiates actions to meet patients/families’ needs
Takes actions to reduce patients risks
Performs specialty specific technical procedures safely and proficiently
Produces documentation that initiates, follows, and revises patients' plan of care
Focuses on adherence to clinical pathways, protocols, and policies to ensure high reliability of clinical program
Promotes population health through the evaluation of care delivery models as they pertain to community, environmental, cultural and socio-economical dimensions of health.
