Position Description :
The Department of OB/GYN is looking for an experienced Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to add to their General OBGYN Division. This position will be primarily responsible for the delivery of GYN care, although OB coverage may be necessary depending upon the needs of the practice.
The position will be primarily located at the Radnor Office location, however coverage responsibilities may include the 3737 Market Street practice, located on the Penn Presbyterian Campus and the 3701 Market Street practice, located on the University of Pennsylvania Campus.
All WHNPs function under the guidelines as designed by the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center medical staff guidelines and are credentialed through that body. The WHNP will be held accountable through a formal job description, delineation of privileges, and through their agreement with their collaborating physician and a Collaborative Practice Agreement. All clinical work hours and associated requirements will be defined and managed under the direction of the collaborating physician/division designee, and within the Human Resource guidelines.
The Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner contributes to excellence in education, leadership, professional contribution and practice.
Minimum Requirements :
Master's Degree Master's Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Nursing
2.5+ years of experience,
PA and/or NJ RN licensure (RN)
PA and/or NJ CRNP licensure (CRNP) CRNP
PA and/or NJ Prescriptive Authority
National Board Certification
BLS/CPR, as a healthcare provider as per the American Heart Association (For providers in the ambulatory setting)
ACLS (For providers in the acute care setting)
The CRNP must be reviewed by the Credentials
Committee and approved by the Medical
