DescriptionTo maintain the nursing staff in all areas as well as to deliver safe efficient age specific nursing care to patient/families. Essential duties include:Routinely provide patient careCollaborate with interdisciplinary teamMaintains employee recordsIdentifies needs for and provides Staff education/staff developmentParticipates in Discharge planning, community resource referrals and educationCommittee involvement, participate with quality improvement initiatives- Oversees daily operations of unit/area in a cost effective mannerInvolved in Community outreach activities as pertinent Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers and co-workers.Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.Displays commitment to the mission and values of the organization.This position is located at Richmond Medical Center on the Med/Surg unit. We are looking for an Assistant Nurse Manager on straight night shift at this time, working two 12 hour shifts and two 8 hour shifts. Ideally this position will be Monday-Friday but will need flexibility based on unit needs. The ANM will also be 50% in staffing.QualificationsExperience & Knowledge:Meets qualification of 1-2 years clinical experienceDemonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic.Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers.Demonstrated ability to handle high pressure situations with professionalism and integrity.Knowledge of current technology and equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapiesPC and computer applicationsEducation/Expertise:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master in Nursing (MN) from accredited program required.Required Credentials, Licensure or Certification (i.e. RN, RRT):Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.Certification in a specialty clinical area or leadership is required.
