Beaumont Health System Clinical Nurse in Royal Oak, Michigan

GENERAL SUMMARY: The clinical nurse, under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The Clinical Nurse provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Beaumont policies and procedures. NOTE: this is a split role between cardiac rehab at the health center and stress testing at the main hospital in Royal Oak. Weekend coverage for stress testing along with 1-2 shifts within Cardiac Rehab weekly ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1. Supervision of various departmental service lines, including cardiovascular stress testing (including medication administration for pharmacologic testing), cardiac rehabilitation, and EECP. Patient interactions will include providing education, exercise prescriptions, and risk factor modification instruction. 2. Provide clinical assessment and emergency medical care for any patient attending any departmental or Beaumont Health Center service, including physician follow up, acting as liaison between patient/family/multidisciplinary team members, PSQI submissions, and patient discharge. 3. Oversight of facility medication storage, emergency crash cart, and staff emergency reviews. 4. Start IVs for the echo lab department as needed. 5. Consistently demonstrates Beaumont customer service standards 6. Participation in special patient events, research projects, strategic planning initiatives, conferences, departmental work groups, and process improvement initiatives. 7.
