Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Cath Lab
Currently recruiting a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Cath Lab in Sanford, Florida to practice in a 221-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center, that serves the communities of Seminole and West Volusia counties. The hospital provides the only full-service cardiovascular program in Seminole and West Volusia, including open heart surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and comprehensive diagnostic services. Other specialized services include orthopedic and spine care, robotic surgery, acute inpatient medical rehabilitation, and complete imaging services.
The Cardiovascular Department features 2 digital diagnostic & Interventional labs, 1 EP lab, and a Cath Lab Recovery unit.
Job Responsibilities of the Cardiac Cath Lab RN:
Will circulate cases, administering moderate sedation, pain medication, and any other medications ordered by the physician during the procedure.
Will initiate or maintain drips to manage the patient hemo-dynamically.
Will run accu checks, and ACTs.
Will obtain any equipment added during the case.
May assist with transporting the patient to and from the procedure and prep the patient.
Are an active participant in the “Time Out” process.
Job Qualifications of the Cardiac Cath Lab RN:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab experience, and previous ICU experience highly desired.
Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
Current Florida State Registered Nurse license or compact. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.
Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
8 hour shifts M-F
Will train anyone with ER, ICU, CV Stepdown or OR experience.
MUST take on call- 7-9 days a month.
Compensation and Benefits of the Cardiac Cath Lab RN:
Salary: $28.75-$41.32; depending on years of experience.
