We are currently looking for an ambitious Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to help us reach our goals.The Pediatric Registered Nurse is a clinically competent practitioner of pediatric, family-centered nursing services providing safe and effective care to the pediatric population. The Pediatric RN is responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating a treatment plan and achieving the goals of the nursing department. What you will do in this role:You will work collaboratively with the clinical medical provider, to empower children and their families to make informed decisions regarding their health care, including health promotion and prevention of disease or complicationsYou will provide education to the patient and/or parent/guardian in a manner that the recipient understands in order to contribute to positive patient care outcome and patient satisfactionYou will maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and examination resultsYou will administer medications in accordance with physician ordersYou will check rooms daily for necessary suppliesYou will respond to and refer incoming telephone calls (may include phone triage when needed)QualificationsMust be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is requiredMust be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN licenseA current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is requiredA current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Health Care Provider is preferred and required to be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer datePrior acute care Registered Nurse experience with pediatric patients preferredPediatrics is our general Peds unit stationed with 20-beds.
