Optum Registered Nurse, Operating Room in Seattle, Washington

The First Hill Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their team on a full-time basis to work in an ambulatory surgery center in Seattle, WA.
30 hours/week (3/10's) | Days TBD

The RN functions as an integral member of the team and is responsible for providing and directing the nursing care of the patient and supervise paraprofessional personnel in the operating room.
The RN is responsible for and not limited to:
Coordinate patient care intraoperatively.
Process operative paperwork.
Perform circulating duties.
Coordinate transition from operating room to recovery room.
Communicate accurate patient history and physical condition.
Work as a team member within the surgery center department and with all other departments.
Preferred Experience and Credentials:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Current licensure in the State of Washington as a Registered Nurse required.
BCLS/CPR certification required.
ACLS certification required.
PALS certification required.
Membership and involvement in professional nursing organizations (for example, AORN) preferred.
Two years prior OR experience required.
Previous ambulatory surgery center experience in multi-specialty preferred.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and tasks.
Ability to problem solve patient medical and non-medical problems.
Ability to perform job quickly and accurately every time.
Provide excellent customer service and patient care.
Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
Good oral and written command of the English language.
May require lifting and transferring patients.
May require occasional extra hours or work.
Will require rotating to other areas within the surgery.
